Lew Zager

Lewis Zager is Vice President, Technology at WETA in Washington, D.C.. Lew oversees WETA's engineering and computer services departments. One of Lew's key responsibilities is the continued development and implementation of digital television broadcasting at WETA. He has over 20 years experience in public television production and engineering including responsibilities for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, In Performance at the White House and Washington Week in Review.

Lew is chairman of the PBS Engineering Committee and is active in industry committees involved in the development of digital television. He is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and The Society of Broadcast Engineers.
