Marilyn Mohrman-Gillis
Vice President, Policy & Legal Affairs, APTS
Washington, DC

Starting at APTS in 1990 as General Counsel, Marilyn has been Vice President, Policy and Legal Affairs for APTS since January 1996. In that role she manages the policy and legal affairs of the association, which represents virtually all of the country's public television stations. She has responsibility for developing policy positions on legislative and regulatory issues, and managing legal, research, planning, and station relations functions of the association.

Before joining APTS Marilyn worked for three years at the Federal Communications Division, as Chief, Legal Branch, Policy and Rules Division, following eight years at the prestigious Washington law firm of Steptoe & Johnson.

Before entering the legal profession, Marilyn worked for several years in the areas of family counseling and social work.

Marilyn holds a B.A, from Notre Dame and both a M.S.W. and her law degree from Catholic University.
