Dale S. Emerson Dale has worked with public broadcasting for the past eight years to improve station performance and enhance services to local communities. He is currently the lead consultant on a number of projects with public broadcasting stations across the United States designed to explore opportunities for collaboration specific to infrastructure and asset management. He was fundamental in developing a collaborative master control operation between three public television stations in the same market and who are now considering the benefits of merging operations. Dale is working with eight licensees in the Pacific Northwest to develop a collaborative project involving joint asset management and master control. He is working with two stations in a Mid-Atlantic market to explore the benefits of joint master control operations. And finally, he is working with five stations on the West Coast to explore station interconnection possibilities and collaborative operations. Dale has also successfully developed cooperative projects in the field of education. His projects include a significant collaboration among three universities and a public television station serving the same geographic region to provide enhanced educational services to the community. He has worked with two public television stations to create a technology education center and use the resources of public broadcasting to help teachers improve their computer literacy. Dale successfully designed a strategic plan with three stations in the Southwest to get over $7,000,000 in state funding for educational purposes. Finally, Dale is currently engaged by CPB to help design the distribution business model for the Online Educational Services project. Mr Emerson holds a BA degree in Financial Management, Michigan State University, 1976; a Masters in Public Administration, Michigan State University, 1977; and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program, Insead University, France, 1991.
